DAY ONE |
Bangkok – Thai-Puan Community |
MORNING |
Depart from Bangkok to Thai-Puan Community, Nakhon Nayok Province. |
NOON |
Lunch. |
AFTERNOON |
Arrive at the Thai Puan community gate at Fang Klong Temple, Koh Wai sub-district, Pak Pli district, Nakhon Nayok Province
Warm welcome ceremony
– Receive a welcome cloth from the community members.
– Enjoy the drum show and thai dance from Pak-Phli kindergarten school.
Depart to Fang Klong temple port.
Visit Chalerm Ratchawat Fang Klong Cultural Center and learn about the Thai Puan community history and culture.
Experience an “Ean Kwan Puan” Baisi welcome ceremony that supposedly ‘summons the souls’ of visitors.
Short break with banana and Fang Klong Temple’s iconic pandan salted eggs.

DAY TWO |
Thai-Puan Community |
MORNING |
Make morning merit with the host at the homestay.
Breakfast with the host at the homestay
Pay respect to the Buddha’s footprint model with Auntie Suree and Colonel Prateep at Koh Wai using pandan leaf roses.
Visit Auntie Tongsri’s ancient house with Auntie Suree.
– Learn about the tools used for working with rice, the Tai Phuan and Huen Phuan traditions.
– Cook with Kru Lord, get to know about some of the traditional Tai Phuan dishes, food traditions and beliefs.
– Learn about “Pla doo” herb-fermented fish and help the locals cook some traditional Phuan dishes. |
NOON |
Lunch with Koh Wai community members. |
AFTERNOON |
Visit important religious sites in the temple. Learn about Thai temples and how Phuan people are devoted to Buddhism from the community instructor.
Visit Lao Doen mushroom farm and collect mushrooms for cooking dinner at the homestay.
Visit some of the top natural sights in Nakhon Nayok. Enjoy a boat ride with a view over Kun Dan Prakan Chol Dam. Swim in the waterfall, raft and have lunch in the middle of nature. Ride a golf cart along the crest of the dam in the evening.
Snacks at Rawin Home Cafe “A hundred baht drink with a million dollar view”, in Pak Pli district. Enjoy the view of Khao Yai National Park.
Return to the homestay and have some free time to yourself. |

DAY THREE |
Thai-Puan Community – Bangkok |
MORNING |
Make morning merit with the host dressed in a traditional Phuan outfit at the homestay.
Breakfast at the homestay
Arrive at Ban Mai Phuan community, or “Ban Moe” in Phuan language.
Pay homage to Kusawadee Buddha Relics Stupa at Patummawongsawas Temple.
Visit the “Pak Pli Tai Phuan handloom weaving group” at the Center of Local Wisdom, Ban Mai Temple.
Learn about the ancient handloom weaving method. |
NOON |
Lunch Chaluay Pochana, ancient Phuan suki from Ban Koh Wai Phuan community. |
AFTERNOON |
Say goodbye to the community.
