AFTERNOON |
Assemble at the AirAsia counter inside Terminal 2 of Don Mueang International Airport.
Board flight FD 3243 to Trang.
Arrive at Trang Airport. The van will take you onwards to Ban Lam Khanun Community, located in Tambon Na Chum Het, Amphoe Yan Ta Khao, Trang Province.
Arrive at Ban Lam Khanun Community Learning Center. Enjoy welcome performances, taste some local desserts and refresh with herbal drinks made by the villagers. Explore and shop for local products at Lam Khanun Floating Market (open every Saturday and Sunday) before heading back to the accommodation for the evening. |
EVENING |
Enjoy a traditional dinner. Watch local youths rehearse their ‘Manorah’ performance, which is unique to the south of Thailand (if there is rehearsal going on)

DAY TWO |
Ban Lam Khanun Community – Sai Rung Waterfall |
MORNING |
Make offerings to the monks and enjoy a traditional breakfast.
Join learning activities at Ban Lam Khanun Community:
Learn about renewable energy, including hydroelectricity, solar greenhouses and ‘Na Chum Het’ firewood stove (smokeless).
Learn how to burn charcoal inside the 200-liter barrel, from preparing firewood to making the fire. |

Enjoy a traditional lunch. |
AFTERNOON |
Experience the crystal clear water of Sai Rung Waterfall, the water source within the Khao Bantad Wildlife Sanctuary (don’t forget to prepare your swimming gear). |
EVENING |

DAY THREE |
Ban Lam Khanun Community – Kayaking along Lamphikul River |
MORNING |
Make offerings to the monks and enjoy a traditional breakfast.
Learning activities at Ban Lam Khanun Community during the morning, which include:
– Visit the community’s integrated farm which is based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. Learn how to grow crops, tend to chickens and fish, and see how local families earn their income.
– Join in with some agriculture activities, such as beekeeping, making bio-fertilizer, growing corn, etc.
– Pick local vegetables to use when cooking your own lunch, such as fried ‘flame flower’ with eggs. |

AFTERNOON |
Kayak along the Lamphikul River, which connects 5 separate tributaries. Experience the beauty of nature and see the traditional farming lifestyle along the banks of the river (approximately 1.45 hours). |

DAY FOUR |
Ban Lam Khanun Community – Manorah Klon Performance |
MORNING |
Make offerings to the monks and enjoy a traditional breakfast.
Learning activities at Ban Lam Khanun Community during the morning include:
– Cooking class: learn how to make local desserts such as Khanom Nom Sao.
– Workshop: craft propellers and windmills from natural and leftover bamboo. |
NOON |
Enjoy a traditional lunch. |
AFTERNOON |
– Learn about sufficiency economic agriculture at Sri Thongdam Lam Khanun Lime Orchard.
– Workshop: Try grafting Sri Thongdam Lam Khanun lime trees to reproduce this native plant.
– Workshop: Make honey-fermented lime, which is loaded with health benefits. |

Enjoy a local performance Manorah Klon (only in Trang), which is a parody of the original Manorah.

DAY FIVE |
Ban Lam Khanun Community – Khao Chang Hai Cave – Khirirat Family’s House – Peninsular Botanic Garden (Thung Khai) – Ban Lam Khanun Community |

Enjoy a local breakfast.
Head to Khao Chang Hai Cave, a huge cave system with many beautiful stalactites. The system actually comprises 6 individual cave ‘halls’ all of different names, each one impressing with its own unique characteristics.
Visitors will enjoy the convenience of walkways and electric lighting as they explore on foot. Another great thing about visiting here is the temperature – which remains cool throughout the year, even in summer. |

Travel to Tambon Thung Khai, Amphoe Yan Ta Khao, Trang.
Explore Khirirat Family’s House. The Khirirat family was the first family to move and settle in Tambon Thung Khai. This two-story house was built adhering to the local architectural style; the first story is made from bricks and the second story from wood, with Chinese and Islamic-inspired patterns. The house has mixed hipped gable roof.
Visit the Peninsular Botanic Garden (Thung Khai), which features a botanical and herbal garden, plant museum, botanical library and various nature trails. The highlight of the botanical garden is the Canopy Walkway, a walking trail inside the canopy itself, spanning 3 levels with varying heights between 5 and 20 meters. |

DAY SIX |
Ban Lam Khanun Community – Nang Talung Carving – Trang’s Old Town |

Learning activities at Ban Lam Khanun Community during the morning include:
– Local art and culture learning activity: ‘the carving of Nang Talung’ (shadow puppets).
– Workshop: Carving keychain-size ‘Nang Talung’ as a souvenir. |

Take a stroll around Trang’s old town area and see the true lifestyles of local people. Explore the Sino-Portuguese-style of the old buildings and impressive graffiti artwork, depicting the history of Trang. Taste some famous local dishes such as dim sum (Southern Thai style), shumai, steamed buns, youtiao, grilled pork, all of which can be enjoyed with hot or cold coffee or tea. |

DAY SEVEN |

MORNING |
Enjoy a local breakfast and prepare to say goodbye to the community.
Visit the Kantang Railway Station on Nah Khai road. This railway station is the last terminal of the Southern – Andaman railroad. This single story building features a Panya-style roof and each pole is decorated using fretworks. The building is an example of classical architecture which was famous during King Rama VI’s reign. There are also some old utensils once used in everyday life found inside the station. |

Say goodbye to the community and head on to Trang Airport.
Arrive at Trang Airport and check in at the AirAsia counter.
Board flight FD 3246 to Bangkok (arrive at 16.25).
Arrive back in Bangkok to mark the end of the trip. |
